April 19 was another slate where the run-line card held up better than the moneyline board. The model finished 7-8 straight up, 8-7 on run lines, and 6-8 on totals with one ungraded total in Giants-Nationals. That is the clearest shape of the day: sides were mixed, totals lagged, and the run-line market again did enough to keep the card from slipping further.
The top-play bucket was small. Using the 5%+ edge threshold, there were only two plays: the Yankees and Diamondbacks. New York got there easily in a 7-0 win over Kansas City, cashing both the moneyline and run line. Arizona went the other way, losing 10-4 to Toronto in one of the sharper misses on the board. Expanding to the 2%+ edge group added the Angels, who lost 2-1 to San Diego. That left the 5%+ bucket at 1-1 and the 2%+ bucket at 1-2.
The best full-game read was Cleveland. The Guardians beat Baltimore 8-4 and cleared all three markets. Seattle also turned in one of the cleaner wins of the day, beating Texas 5-2 with the moneyline, run line, and under all landing. On the other side, Milwaukee never got going in a 5-3 loss to Miami, and Detroit’s 6-2 win in Boston turned Red Sox moneyline, run line, and total support into a full miss.
The day was not strong enough to overstate, but it was not random either. The run-line card kept finding enough margin, while the stronger edge plays did not convert at the level you want.
